In the course of a engagement to Lichfield Cathedral on Monday, King Charles was shouted at by a protester who asked him about his brother's connections with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The man demanded to know how long the King had been known about his brother's relationship with Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had asked the police to "conceal" for Prince Andrew.

Amid the protest, there were throngs of supporters and applause for the monarch, who was visiting the region for an ceremony.

The Duke of York's links with Jeffrey Epstein have been under close examination in recent weeks. The prince, who relinquished his royal duties earlier this month, has categorically denied any misconduct.

"How long have you known about Prince Andrew and Epstein? Have you asked the authorities to conceal for him?"

The King ignored the questions but continued greeting supporters, some of whom chanted "God Save The King". One supporter can be heard requesting him for a hug.

Another woman outside the cathedral was also heard telling the protester to "leave" and to "shut up".

Controversy Revived by Memoir

The controversy over Prince Andrew's connections to Epstein has been brought back into focus by misconduct allegations repeated in Ms. Giuffre's recently released memoir.

In the memoir, the accuser alleges she had sex with the royal on three separate occasions, including once with Epstein and "several other minors"

Andrew, who reached a financial settlement with Ms Giuffre in 2022, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In a previous interview, he told BBC Newsnight he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "at all", and that they "did not have any sort of sexual contact."

New Inquiries About Lifestyle and Housing

But recently, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to finance his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Royal Lodge has intensified the examination over his living arrangements - even though he made large payments initially, including for improvements.

The political party said he should be called in front of MPs to give evidence about his rental agreement of his lodge.

But last Thursday, the government refused to give parliamentarians time to discuss the royal's titles or his home, despite increasing calls for scrutiny.

The royal household has not commented on whether Prince Andrew might relocate of his current residence - or where he might reside.
